Set off on a gentle river cruise through Tutong’s mangrove forests and glimpse wildlife in their natural rhythm – graceful hornbills, hidden crocodiles, and the iconic proboscis monkey.
The Tutong river runs approximately 137 kilometres from the Tutong District highlands to the South China Sea. The river passes through the town of Tutong where visitors can take a cruise on the mangrove-lined river and spot wildlife that thrive on the banks. The boatman will be able to point out partially submerged crocodiles, proboscis monkeys leaping high in the trees and exotic birds that forage in this biodiverse-rich landscape.
For those without access to a private car, we recommend using Dart (think of it as Brunei’s Uber or Grab) which is the most convenient option for traveling in Brunei. While it provides hassle-free booking and convenience, keep in mind that pricing may vary.
